South Giles Sanitation was purchased by Ted Burdette in August 1986. At that time there were about 140 customers serviced with one truck operating on two-half day routes each week. With dedication, diligence and a lot of hard work, service was eventually expanded to other areas of the county growing to over 1300 customers. The growth included commercial customers which are serviced by three trucks operating five days each week. After all these years, South Giles Sanitation is still owned and operated by the original owners.
Many other changes have taken place in nearly three decades. With all of the changes that have taken place, the most important things have remained the same. You, our customers, are also our neighbors and friends.
