Service Requirements to help ensure your privacy is protected

We want to ensure protection of your personal information. We recommend the following to help to ensure your information does not fall victim to identity theft:
  • Shred any documents containing personal or financial information prior to disposal
  • Bag all garbage & tie bags securely. We do not have the time to tie your bags. We will not pick up untied bags. This is done for your identity protection.

Service Requirements to help ensure we keep our rates low

The following tips will help us maintain a low rate for all of our customers. If you frequently have above average amounts or fail to follow the requirements below your rate will be adjusted to compensate.
  • On time payments made in advance of service each month. You may pay up to 12 months in advance.
  • Sharing service is not allowed. Waste is from your household only.
  • Be aware of the amount of garbage & weight of bags.
  • Break down & bundle all cardboard boxes.
  • Plastic & glass containers must be empty with caps or lids removed.
  • Remove all liquid from containers.
  • Keep rainwater out of trashcans to reduce weight from water soaked bags.
  • Tie all bags to prevent garbage from spilling or flying off of truck.
  • Bag all loose garbage.
  • Ensure packing peanuts are secured in tied bag.
  • Protect garbage from animals that tear up bags, knock over cans & strow trash. We do not pick up torn or scattered garbage.
  • Set garbage or cans out so that it is visible to the route driver. Garbage that cannot be seen because it is behind structures or in ditches cannot be picked up. We cannot come back for garbage that was not clearly visible to the driver.
  • Please place your garbage out at the curb by our typical 7:00 AM route start time the day of your scheduled pickup.

Service Requirements for the safety of our employees & others

Weight limits of containers
  • Plastic Bags 30-gal. maximum capacity, 20-lb. weight limit
For needles, syringes & other sharp objects:
  • Use a rigid leak-proof puncture resistant container, with a tight fitting lid, such as a hard plastic or metal container with a screw on or tightly secured lid. Common household containers that match this description include: detergent bottles, bleach bottles, two-liter bottles, plastic juice containers and coffee cans (if the lid is securely taped to the can). Glass containers are not recommended for use as sharps containers because the glass may break and spill the contents. Plastic milk jugs make poor sharps containers because the plastic used in these containers is thin and sharps easily poke through. In addition, milk jugs do not always have a tight, fitting lid.
  • Label any container used to dispose of sharps with the word “SHARPS” on all sides of the container in big, block letters. Before discarding a container, be sure to reinforce the lid with heavy-duty tape.
For prescription medication
  • For disposing of prescription drugs, take them out of the original container and mix with such substances as kitty litter or coffee grounds and put them in a sealed container. Some drugs may be flushed down the toilet. (Check label.) Also check with your pharmacy for correct disposal.

Thank you for complying with our requests! This will help us to better serve you.
